World Bank Team Visits Different Project Sites of KWSSIP

As part of ongoing collaboration and oversight, a Mission from the World Bank visited various project sites under the Karachi Water and Sewerage Services Improvement Project (KWSSIP) this week. The visit aimed to review progress, assess on-ground implementation, and engage with field teams to ensure alignment with project goals.

The WB Mission was briefed on key interventions underway, including infrastructure development, capacity enhancement initiatives, and service delivery improvements across the water and sewerage sectors. Site visits included Chlorination Station at Hill Park, Soba Nagar Katchi Abadis of Soba Nagar and Essa Nagri, CERRI Building etc., where World Bank representatives interacted with project engineers and community members.

The World Bank team expressed satisfaction over the pace and quality of work and reiterated their continued support for enhancing Karachi’s water and sanitation systems through sustainable and inclusive solutions.

KWSSIP remains committed to transparent execution, community engagement, and building resilient urban infrastructure in partnership with the Government of Sindh and international development partners.
