Teen Hatti Priority Sewerage Scheme was inaugurated by the Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, under the Karachi Water and Sewerage Services Improvement Project (KWSSIP). a significant step towards enhancing the quality of life for Karachiites.
Teen Hatti Sewerage Scheme, a part of KWSSIP’s subproject of Priority Sewerage Network, aims to address various challenges faced by residents in the Teen Hatti area. The project involves the provision of a sewerage network along Shahrah-e-Pakistan in Liaquatabad Town, District Central, Karachi. Situated on the northern side of Lyari river, the scheme covers areas adjacent to North Nazimabad Town and Gulberg Town.
Project Director-KWSSIP, Mr. Muhammad Usman Moazzam, provided valuable insights to Mayor Karachi regarding the proposed project’s scope and significance. Key issues such as backflows during rainfall, environmental degradation due to untreated sewage disposal, aging infrastructure, and blockages in the existing sewerage network were highlighted.
With the inauguration of the Teen Hatti Sewerage Scheme, residents can look forward to improved sanitation facilities, cleaner surroundings, and a healthier environment. This initiative reflects the commitment of Govt. of Sindh to addressing critical infrastructure needs and promoting the well-being of residents of Karachi.
