World Water Day is celebrated on March 22, every year since 1993 to raise awareness about water-related issues and to curb the affluent use of water. Water is essential for the existence of every living being on Earth, as they say, water is the driving force of nature. In this connection, the Karachi Water & Sewerage Services Improvement Project (KWSSIP) organized a National Essay-Writing Competition in the month of March-2022, to commemorate World Water Day.
The idea behind organizing the “National Essay-Writing Competition on Water” is to spread awareness among the masses and this exercise turned out to be a huge success as ample essays were received from all around Pakistan. all these essays were evaluated by a team of experienced professors and declared the winners among all categories-Schools, Colleges, and Universities. A Prize-Distribution Ceremony had been held on July 01, 2022, at Arts Council Auditorium, Karachi, to motivate and appreciate the hard and sincere work of participants.
The winners are given certificates of appreciation and cash prizes, and a large number of people from different walks of life participated in the event including parents and teachers of the winners.
