The newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation (KWSC), Mr. Ahmed Ali Siddiqi, visited the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Services Improvement Project (KWSSIP) today.
During the visit, the CEO was briefed by the PD -KWSSIP on the ongoing project components, implementation progress, and strategic priorities aimed at transforming Karachi’s water and sanitation infrastructure. The PIU team presented updates on major initiatives, including infrastructure upgrades, capacity building efforts, and stakeholder engagement plans under KWSSIP.
Mr. Siddiqi appreciated the efforts of the KWSSIP team and emphasized the importance of efficient execution, inter-agency coordination, and citizen-focused service delivery. He reaffirmed KWSC’s commitment to supporting the project in achieving its developmental goals.
The visit marks a strong step toward enhanced institutional collaboration and leadership-driven momentum for the successful implementation of water sector reforms in Karachi.
